How much does foundation crack repair cost? In Ontario, sealing one foundation crack from inside with injection typically costs $500 to $1,500. An exterior repair, where the soil is dug out and the wall is sealed from outside, typically costs $3,000 to $5,500 per crack. Crack length, access and wall type move the price most.
Below: the typical price ranges, what pushes a quote up or down, what's usually extra, and when it's fine to do nothing.

These are ranges from published price guides, not quotes. A real price depends on your crack.
What changes the price?
- Length. Ports go every few inches. A longer crack takes more ports, more resin and more time.
- Inside or outside. Interior injection needs a ladder and a pump. Exterior repair needs digging down to the footing, which is why it costs several times more.
- A finished basement. If drywall and framing cover the crack, they have to come off and go back on. Ask whether that's in the quote. Often it isn't.
- Wall type. Poured concrete can be injected. Concrete block usually can't, so it gets sealed a different way.
- How many cracks. Two cracks done on one visit usually cost less than two separate visits.
- What's in the way outside. Decks, interlock, driveways and gardens over the dig area add to an exterior job.
What's usually included, and what costs extra?
A crack injection quote usually covers the ports, the resin, the injection and the cleanup.
Ask before you sign about:
- Removing and replacing drywall, insulation or framing
- Moving shelving or stored items away from the wall
- For exterior work: restoring landscaping, interlock or a deck
- The warranty: how long, and whether it moves to the next owner if you sell
Repair it, DIY it, or leave it alone?
Leave it and watch it if it's a thin, dry, vertical crack in poured concrete. Mark both ends in pencil with the date and check again in a few months.
Try a DIY kit only on a thin, dry crack in a poured wall. Kits don't work on block walls, and they're hard to get right on a crack that's actively leaking.
Get it repaired if water comes in, you're about to finish the basement, or you're selling. A leak behind new drywall turns a few hundred dollars of crack repair into a wet-wall problem.
Get a structural check first if the crack is horizontal, wider than 1/4 inch, or getting wider. See is my foundation crack serious?
How do you get an accurate quote?
Send us:
- A clear photo of the crack with a tape measure or coin beside it
- Roughly how long the crack is
- Whether it leaks, and when (every rain, or only in spring)
- Whether the wall is finished, unfinished, or partly covered
How the repair itself works: foundation crack injection.
